TRIFORENSIC scores on price and impartiality

‘Unique, because no other company offers these three competences’, explains Jaap ten Wolde. The IFO and TRIFORENSIC partner continues: ‘There are other agencies that provide forensic IT research and forensic accountancy, but we are the first to combine these with private investigation and research activities. And Interseco may be the first, but it is an authority in the field.’

Succesful cooperation between three companies
The cooperation between the companies did not just appear out of the air. The companies have been doing business together for many years. ‘Fox-IT wanted to lead its own research rather than act as subcontractor. Plus, the forensic accountants at ISO also felt they should take a leading role in the field of IT research, in particular due to the huge increase in the use of digital communication equipment, complex networks and extensive financial databases. If you are given the opportunity to enter a joint venture with the best IT agency around, it’s an easy choice to make’, acknowledges Ten Wolde.
Different take
There are many advantages to choosing TRIFORENSIC. The client has a single point of contact, while the agency approaches the case from three competence areas. ‘All three of us have a different take on the problem and draw our own conclusions. Furthermore, we don't just research the facts; we also evaluate them if so required, and certainly when the client also plays a particular role in the research. Our intention is never to just please our clients. Our research must be able to withstand criticism and we therefore always make sure the subject of our research has the opportunity to respond. TRIFORENSIC is completely impartial and does not have any long-running client relationships, as is often the case for annual accounts reviews by accountants, for example.'
Friendly tariffs
TRIFORENSIC has seven partners and a reservoir of over 50 researchers, with offices in Amersfoort, Delft, The Hague and Brussels. ‘And yet our tariffs are significantly friendlier than those of the large agencies.' This is mainly because of the lower cost structure, as TRIFORENSIC also has a highly experienced team with the required ‘creative baggage’. Ten Wolde believes that you can learn to carry out research. ‘But evaluation requires wisdom, experience and a certain distance. And that requires the right people.’ TRIFORENSIC has those people, as well as the knowledge and experience not just to carry out investigations, but also to evaluate and advise on policy plans.
Trust
‘Both the Ministry of Justice and the business community still make insufficient use of the mix of the three competences in complicated cases. It is up to us to prove that this combination can be highly effective,’ says Ten Wolde. He is therefore completely confident that, now the first big job is in, more will quickly follow. An important success factor is trust in one another. ‘The ability to work well together determines the success of TRIFORENSIC. And so far it’s going very well!’
